Brand Story
CLT Intellectual Property Group (CLTIP) was founded in 2020 with an initial focus on intellectual property services, unlocking the full potential of their R&D achievements and trademarks. In 2023, CLTIP launched two new initiatives: Chongxin Tianqin Project Management and the KASL Academy. Chongxin Tianqin Project Management supports businesses in establishing internal SOPs, organizational systems, and governance frameworks through the implementation of project management systems. Meanwhile, KASL Academy is dedicated to nurturing young talents in four core dimensions—Knowledge, Attitude, Skill, and Liability—by offering workplace readiness courses tailored for university graduates to strengthen their competitiveness in the job market.
Challenges
- Needed an experience management mechanism to strengthen competitiveness
- Cloud drives make full-text search difficult and inefficient
- No systematic record-keeping for document exchanges leads to low productivity
Vital Solutions
- The Digital Brain Behind CLTIP’s IP Services
In its second year, CLTIP’s Managing Director Yao-Ching Yuan recognized the importance of digitalization and knowledge transfer, especially with most employees working remotely. He adopted Vital Knowledge to systematically capture case-handling processes and institutional experience. “Forms and workflows are like the hands and feet of a company,” Yuan explained. “The knowledge base is its brain.”
One of his top priorities was having a reliable full-text keyword search. Previously, CLTIP had relied on cloud drives, which only allowed searches by file name—making it difficult and time-consuming to retrieve useful content. In contrast, Vital Knowledge offers fast, accurate full-text search and smart content recommendations, helping employees find what they need and maximize the value of accumulated knowledge.

CLTIP now applies the system in three key ways:
1. Workflow Training – Operational processes such as case reporting and reimbursement are recorded and uploaded, making onboarding and task execution more efficient.
2. Document Communication Records – All correspondence with clients or government agencies is stored and searchable by document number or entity name, enabling easy tracking of communication history.
3. Meeting Knowledge Sharing – Yuan also founded the IP Trends Club, where he and industry peers regularly discuss global IP topics. Key takeaways are shared internally through the system to strengthen team expertise.
The access controls and customization flexibility of Vital Knowledge give CLTIP the confidence to share specific knowledge with external stakeholders while safeguarding internal information. Its combination of standardized design and customizable features—like dropdowns and editable fields—makes it a high-value tool adaptable to different enterprise needs.
CLTIP has now implemented several digital tools, including Vital Knowledge, enabling employees to work efficiently from anywhere. This move reflects the company’s commitment to both digital transformation and employee well-being. As Yao-Ching Yuan states, CLTIP aims to grow from a young startup into a century-strong leader in intellectual property services.
